Statement as of 3:41 PM AKST on January 05, 2009 ... Dense fog advisory now in effect until 6 PM akst Tuesday... The dense fog advisory is now in effect until 6 PM akst Tuesday. Dense ice fog will persist in the valleys around Fairbanks and North Pole tonight and Tuesday. The visibility will frequently be reduced to one quarter mile or less... and locally to near zero. A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to near zero.
