Marine weather discussion for Gulf of Mexico...
Caribbean Sea and southwest north Atlc S of 31n W of 55w.
Gulf of Mexico cold front near Mobile al to Tampico Mexico. The
front will extend from near Tampa Bay to the Yucatan Peninsula
this afternoon and E of the area tonight. High pres builds
across the Gulf Thu and Fri then moves E as another cold front
approaches the Texas coast early Sat and from the Florida
Panhandle to 23n97w Sat afternoon and from SW Florida to 24n95w
to 19n95w sun. Strong winds ahead of the first front with NW
winds 20-25 kt behind the front. Decreasing winds Thu and Fri.
Nly winds increase behind the second front Sat then decrease sun.
Sly winds pick up across the NW portion of the Atlc zone ahead
of strong approaching cold front. Sly winds increase to gale
force later today and Thu N of 29n. The front extends from
31n75w to S Florida this evening then moves rapidly to 31n67w to
the W Cuba Thu and from 26n65w to Windward Passage Fri then
dissipates Sat. Another cold front moves rapidly across the area
Sat night extending from 31n65w to 27n80w sun.
Typical trade winds across the Caribbean with the strongest
winds near the coast of Colombia...with generally light winds
over the NW Caribbean. Cold front approaches the Yucatan Channel
this evening then weakens across the far NW portion of the area
